Facilities SummerCamp @Ross is located on the beautiful Ross School campus in East Hampton, NY. The campus is comprised of several architecturally stunning buildings situated on 62-acres of woodlands and playing fields and monitored by our discreet security personnel. Our indoor and outdoor facilities uniquely support our ability to create a special experience for each camper. Multiple athletic fields including a new baseball diamond, six new Har-Tru tennis courts and a new outdoor basketball court allow campers of different ages and levels to develop their skills in appropriate groupings. The grounds of the campus are crisscrossed by trails, perfect for hiking, biking and environmental exploration. The Center for Well-Being and the new Fieldhouse are the heart of SummerCamp @Ross. Camper drop-off and pick-up are at the Center for Well-Being, which houses the Great Hall, Court Theater and our treetop Café. The Great Hall, built for up to 722 people, is home to basketball and martial arts activities. The Court Theater is equipped for volleyball and converts into a 220-seat stadium viewing space for performances. On rainy days it becomes a professional movie theatre with an anamorphic screen and reel-to-reel and digital projectors. The Fieldhouse supports camp programs that take place on the outdoor fields and courts and includes space for a variety of activities, such as ping-pong and games. Across the street from the Center for Well-Being, the Senior Thesis building is where the Theater program is based, in the 120-seat Lecture Hall. The professional darkroom has 14 workstations and state-of-the-art computer editing stations for digital photography. The drawing and painting studios are filled with visual inspiration. Cooking classes are taught in a teaching kitchen. It is a short walk on a wooded path to the Media Pavilion, which houses facilities for video, music and ceramics. Video filming rooms and editing stations allow for professional-looking results. The orchestra rehearsal room and individual rehearsal rooms are also found here. Our light-filled ceramics studio is equipped with professional indoor, electric and outdoor raku kilns. Come join us to explore, learn and have a ton of fun!  | |
