Horseback Riding

Experience firsthand the joys and responsibilities of caring for a horse or pony. This major includes a lesson each day and other horse-related activities. Campers are placed in groups with riding levels evaluated, enabling campers to progress in the program. Campers learn about horse care, safety precautions, care of tack and equipment, and riding skills in a fun atmosphere. At the end of the session, campers present a horse skills demonstration. There is also an in-house "horse show" as well as an opportunity to compete at Long Island horse shows. This program is designed to meet the needs of young equestrians wanting to learn all there is about horses and have fun in the process. Open to all levels.
